KY NICA Program Fee (Student-Athletes)
The Kentucky Interscholastic Cycling League (KICL) program fee for student-athletes is $375 for the full season. This single fee supports year-round youth development programming, safety standards, and professionally produced events. A single-season fee helps the league plan responsibly, support teams consistently, and provide a safer, more predictable experience for everyone.
What the program fee includes
- NICA national membership and KY NICA league registration
- Liability insurance coverage during all official KY NICA practices, pre-rides, and events
- Six months of instruction from trained and licensed coaches
- Professionally produced event weekends (safety teams, medical support)
- Competitive and non-competitive riding opportunities, USAC points
- Specialized programs: Girls Riding Together (GRiT), Teen Trail Corps (TTC), NICA Adventure, and NICA Racing
- Year-round education & support for teams, volunteers, and coaches
- Year-round discounts from NICA industry partners
What the program fee does not include
- Park or venue entrance fees
- Travel and lodging
- Personal equipment (bike, helmet, gear)
- Optional team-specific expenses

We never want cost to prevent a student from participating. If the program fee presents a challenge, we encourage families to reach out early so we can explore options together. Requests are handled with care and confidentiality.
At this time, PitZone does not support payment plans or installment payments. If upfront payment is a barrier, scholarships are available.
